Mom Bosses. We juggle family life and work, like everyone… but there’s something else when you’re the founder of a company.
Your business is kind of like your baby. You want to nurture it. Protect it. Give it the love it deserves, so it can grow up and make the world a better place.
And sometimes, those two growing babies share the same playpen, so to speak. But you know what? It can actually foster a deeper connection all-around.
As I wrote in my recent essay in the Globe & Mail, How to run a growing business while raising a baby:
“I’m not saying it’s a brilliant idea to bring your baby to every important meeting on your calendar. But, as a mom, don’t be afraid to push the limits of corporate decorum. The men and women you’re dealing with in business settings weren’t born in sterile cloning jars. Life happens – and with a little understanding from both sides, it can be a very positive thing.”
