The times, they are a changin’. Two long-term seemingly bedrock economic facts are no longer classified as such. Interest rates that seemed glued to the floor are finally starting to rise. Meanwhile, oil is down, maybe forever.
We’ve seen oil rise and fall many times over the last century. And the fossil fuel may still have plenty of life left in it. But the switch to renewable energy, solar in particular, seems to indicate that oil will at some point stop being the lifeblood of the world trading economy.
